Students of the Diploma of Design may: Understand creative thinking skills; develop an understanding of visual communication; eventually become familiar with design technology; be introduced into 2D and 3D design; explore and develop design endeavors; work within a design studio environment; and also produce the understanding and skills required to join the design industry.

Entry to this course is based on an entrance rank. A rank can be achieved by means of a year 1 2 ATAR, additional Australian eligibility, work experience, or an international qualification.
