Become a teacher in one year

You can work with adolescent and young adult learners and make a difference. The Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching (Secondary) enables those with a Bachelor degree in a field other than education to become a teacher in one short year. You will need two secondary subject teaching areas covered in your undergraduate degree to be able to complete this program in one year. There is an option to complete the degree part-time over 18 months or two years, depending on your other commitments. This flexible program is also available on-campus or online. We also accept mid-year entry.

Teach Years 7 to 12

Are you enthusiastic about passing on your expert knowledge and would you enjoy working with adolescents and young adults?, Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching (Secondary) will have the skills and experience required to teach students in Years 7 to 12.  You will be highly employable in the state, Catholic or private school sectors.

Looking for an alternative path? Teaching-related skills of communication and educational management are also in demand in careers such as sport and leisure centre management, personal training, life coaching and human services.
