The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Journalism equips students with the skills, knowledge and Capability to build a career in the current rapidly shifting, multidiscipline and frequently exceptionally disrupted digital press arena. Students gain handson knowledge in reporting, editing and related production and design skills in a wide variety of text, visual and audio mediums. There is an emphasis on story telling with digital tools, exploring innovation and embracing entrepreneurship. Students have the opportunity to use, experience and think about emerging field journalistic methods, including drones, virtual reality along with computer-assisted reporting. This training course is a part of an articulated program of study and is appropriate for anybody interested in learning just how to fully harness the strength of fiction.

  • Improving a UTS recognised bachelor degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or filed additional evidence of general and professional qualifications that shows possibility to pursue graduate studies. All applicants, except UTS Accreditation journalism graduates, want to submit the following: your own statement that outlines their interest in the course also shows a knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing the media industry and also a CV that an example of their employment. The English competency requirement of international students or community applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 7.0 overall with a writing score of 6.5
