Design (Interaction Design)

The way we interact with our devices, together with apps and sites, is always evolving. Interaction designers can shape that evolution, optimising the ability and putting people at the core of design. This course centers around the cutting-edge design skills, knowledge and capabilities needed for a contemporary designer to successfully work across multiple disciplines, methods and contexts. Students will tackle a set of interaction design studios focusing on industry-leading methods in human-centred layout, design thinking, experience layout, service innovation and augmented reality. Opportunities exist for industry work experience, international study tours and networking together with design industry professionals nationwide and nationally. Career pathways beyond the look industries include functions in game structure, it, health, education, engineering and science, in addition to business and enterprise. Graduates are also satisfied to make their own employment opportunities in emerging technologies like wearable style engineering and robotics.
