Design - Visual Communication

Visual communication is where creative art meets technology and function, transforming pictures and words into powerful designs that convince, inform and engage specific target audiences. In an increasingly visual environment, a range of exciting career paths are emerging in the design and networking industries. Guided by industry and discipline experts, you'll discover design solutions to real life issues and challenges and experience all elements of the design process. In this system you will get a solid foundation of theoretical fundamentals and decorative design theories, and apply what you have learnt with reallife design studio practice. Learn the skills you will need to communicate dynamic ideas and make effective visual communications with colour, feel, typography, imagery, style, and symbols. Choose to concentrate at a field or combine multidisciplinary interests in design style, packaging, advertising, photography, illustration, branding and image direction. Throughout the degree you can undertake real-world industry projects and internships, and generate a professional portfolio to showcase your own job, displayed at a grad display, and retained as a digital portfolio.
