Development Studies

Development Studies at StFX is a program for those who have often pondered why the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. The Interdisciplinary Development Studies Program examines both the local and global social, economic, political and cultural contexts in which development takes place. Development Studies integrates the social, economic, political and cultural contexts of development in Canada and around the world. This degree is an excellent foundation for further study and careers in a wide variety of areas, including community and international development, law, economics, government, international relations and teaching.Development Studies offers an interdisciplinary program leading to an advanced joint major, a minor or pair.
