Requirements for the Double Bass Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Institute of Music Studies

The Double Bass Programme at Claudio Monteverdi Institute of Music Studies is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful double bass player. To be accepted into the programme, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music Theory or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Double Bass or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Piano or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Sight-reading or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Aural Skills or equivalent.
• A minimum of Grade 5 in Music History or equivalent.
