A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Drama may be pursued in either Theatre Design, Technical Theatre Stage Management or Technical Theatre Production. This competitive four-year degree program revolves around practical projects and coursework, plus hands-on experience in fully-realized productions. Throughout the program, BFA students all interact with faculty directors, designers and dramaturges, as well as visiting professionals and distinguished guests from all areas of theatre.This degree is both comprehensive and diverse. This four-year conservatory training program is rigorous, intensive and provides in-depth study of the three areas of theatre design: costume, lighting, and set design. With the emphasis on practical experience in addition to theoretical and traditional coursework, students are assigned to productions in their first year and throughout the program. Entrance to the program is competitive with 6 spots in each incoming class. You must have a successful portfolio and meet the academic requirements to be offered a spot in the program.
