This qualification defines the skills and knowledge required for a higher technology tradesperson within metal, technology, manufacturing and associated industries.The skills linked with this particular eligibility are intended to apply to a wide array of engineering work undertaken at the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning, and casting and casting, computer numerically controlled (CNC) programming, and fluid power, heavy fabrication, instrumentation, maintenanceand plant mechanicsand marine electronics, mechatronics, patternmaking, robotics, tool making, welding along with watch and clock repair and services, including post-trade work. It gives the skills and knowledge for a person to know and employ quality control methods and exercise great social and communications skills, work from complex instructions and proceduresand exercise discretion over the scope of responsibility, perform work under limited supervision either individually or within a team atmosphere, be responsible for assuring the quality of their work, provide commerce guidance and assistance as part of a work group, perform non-trade tasks which are incidental or peripheral to the key tasks and facilitate the conclusion of the whole endeavor, inspect products and/or materials for conformity with established operational standardsand operate lifting equipment necessary for their own work also assists in the supply of training in conjunction with managers and trainers.This eligibility may be accessed by direct entrance. While there is no eligibility entrance requirement, it is supposed that the student is already a tradesperson using structured on and off-the-job training or is an apprentice under an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement. It shouldn't be applied as a preemployment or pre-apprenticeship program. It's specifically designed to cover the skills and knowledge demanded of employees employed as Engineering/Manufacturing Trades-person \u2013 Special Class Level II as defined in the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award.
