Chisholm is among the biggest providers of training and education in Victoria. The Institute has been appointed in 1998, in honour of Caroline Chisholm, the early Australian reformer and humanitarian. Chisholm's modern campuses in the southeast of Melbourne are at: Dandenong (two locations), Frankston, Berwick, Cranbourne, Mornington Peninsula along with Bass Coast as well as two brand new centers in the middle of Melbourne. Currently, Chisholm offers over 280 accredited, nationally recognised courses from certificates to paralegal degrees and graduate certificates - for example its degrees and partnership degrees together with La Trobe University. Additionally, it runs approximately 140 short classes for job skills (industry compliance and skills development), as well as life style (self explanatory, diversion and hobby). Courses are developed in conjunction with industry, and also are intended to meet both current and predicted skill shortages.
