This course comprises a range of studies in civil engineering with another attention towards the management of ecological concerns that confront an engineer employed in civil engineering. Many engineering projects, especially those that may impact on the grade of property, water and air, require detailed ecological investigation to identify and mitigate any odds that the project will likely adversely impact the atmosphere. It is critical to consider the brief and long term sustainability of such projects and their ecological consequences. The program is targeted on the progression of knowledge and techniques applicable to professional engineering practice, and along with a solid theoretical base, includes strong elements of technical problem solving, team work and project development resulting in strong analytical abilities and the capability to lead complex projects.Areas of study within the course include a foundation in physical and engineering sciences along with computer aided design, engineering materials, analyzing, and other central civil engineering issues. That is followed closely by more specialist environmental and civil engineering material areas including structural design and analysis, hydrology and hydraulics, and structure technology and site management, and project management. The course also has advanced studies in ecological risk assessment and management, water and waste water treatment, water distribution systems and waste water collection systemsand waste disposal and management, airborne pollution control along with the principles that ensure long-term sustainable engineering design solutions. The first year of this class contains a set of eight units which can be common across all of engineering honours paths. This allows students the chance to come up with a better understanding of the various engineering areas on offer and also the flexibility, when desirable, to switch into some other engineering discipline/course without punishment following the first period of study.

University admission requirements apply. All applicants need to possess Mathematics: Methods ATAR, together with equivalents believed, and Physics ATAR or Engineering Studies ATAR, with equivalents considered. It's desirable that all applicants possess Mathematics: Specialist ATAR, together with equivalents considered.
