Environmental scientists help businesses and governments know and make informed decisions about how to conserve natural ecosystems and tools, and how to meet the requirements of humans and organic world. Inside the system you'll learn about plant ecology, chemistry, hydrology, soil treatment, climate change, coastal studies, geospatial sciences and conservation and restoration. Study the interaction between natural and human-managed surroundings and build up skills in environmental observation and advanced research methods.

This program registers one for associate membership of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ). Other obligations include the Australian Network for Plant Conservation; Australian Water Association; Ecological Society of Australia; and Australian Marine Sciences Association.

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Year 12 English, Maths Methods or Specialist Maths, and also at least a science subject (preferably Chemistry) are recommended.
