This is a two year Master's degree course run jointly by the School of Business, Trinity College and the IMI.
The MSc in Organisational Behaviour is Ireland's premier post-graduate qualification in the area of human behaviour in organisational settings. For more than 25 years our innovations in business education have produced managers and leaders who shape business life in Ireland. The course has a relentless focus on creating value for its participants. Experiential learning and self-development go hand-in-hand with exploring and applying cutting edge theory and integrating it into everyday organisational practice.
You will become part of a highly cohesive community of experienced senior managers that shares an interest inincreasing organisational effectiveness through people. It is designed to prepare managers and administrators to meet the challenge of leadership - to simultaneously meet the needs of their organisations and the needs of their people. It brings together the thinking and research of the behavioural and organisational sciences. It produces leaders with superior ability to analyse problems, generate key insights, and implement creative solutions.
The programme offers the following benefits:
* An integrated inter-disciplinary approach to the development of managers and business leaders.
* A variety of learning methods.
* An opportunity to apply learning in an immediate and practical way
* A fast track for high potential candidates who have the capability to become top managers in their organisations.
The programme is run in 'executive management' style with part-time attendance over two years. It is designed to ensure that each participating manager can be fully effective in his or her company while completing the programme.
Lectures take place on Friday from 1400 to 1900 and on Saturday from 0900 to 1300 in year one, for three terms per year totalling 22 weeks.
As the year two learning approach is more experiential, lectures will take place on Fridays from 0900 to 1900.
Participants carry out assignments (mainly, but not exclusively, reading) on a regular basis and write a thesis on a project of interest to their own organisation.
