The program was designed, as part of a suite of financial preparation programs, to match the expanding requirement and industry requirement for specialist learning financial preparation. The program offers experts and business practitioners the chance to build knowledge and skills in financial markets, financial products, financial planning, taxation law and plans which are crucial for personal financial direction.
The Accreditation Certificate in Financial Planning has been approved by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) as Fulfilling the training Conditions in Terms of Regulatory Guide RG146 Tier 1. Because of course pre requisites, students can only meet RG146 Tier-1 requirements whenever they study the application for 2 semesters.
- Category A: A recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification), as determined by UNSW Business School and two years' fulltime employment experience
- OR Category B: 4 decades of fulltime employment experience and completion of professional courses or studies (for applicants without an undergraduate degree).
