French Studies and Etudes francaises

French at Guelph is an intellectual and cultural adventure. You will be encouraged to spend one or two semesters in Quebec or overseas. You will discuss the most recent philosophical and political trends in France and Quebec in small seminars and conversations with faculty. You may decide to expand your language and cultural horizons by living in La Maison Francaise and attending French concerts and movies. You may choose to take your third year in Nice, France, or to take part in a program that will give you teaching experience in France or Quebec.Career opportunities may be found in education, international trade and tourism, government, translation, and industry.
