French Studies

French studies at Mount Allison includes a variety of language, literature, and culture courses, which give you the opportunity to learn more about French, French-Canadian, and francophone cultures while developing your abilities in the language.First- and second-year courses provide the opportunity to establish a sound foundation in written and oral French. Culture courses, taught in English, are also available in first and second year. Upper-year courses, taught in French, give you the chance to refine your command of written and spoken French while exploring French and French-Canadian literature as well as the theories of literary criticism.
