The video game industry is not only one of the worlds biggest growth industries, but it now generates higher sales than Hollywoods film industry. A few Austrian companies have managed to develop established game franchises within the development and publishing scene in the digital gaming world.

The Game Engineering and Simulation Technology masters degree program gives students the know-how needed to create various genres of electronic games. The program deals with everything from development to design all the way to production. A project that stretches over several semesters ensures that all relevant areas are covered including artificial intelligence, multiplayer networks and the game business.

The technology behind virtual worlds
