Glass and Glazing

This qualification reflects the function of individuals involved with manufacturing, processing, moving or installing a variety of types of glass items and services. Job functions may maintain glass processing, glazing or designed glazing in both residential and commercial operations.Workers utilize a variety of technical knowledge to do skilled work involving known routines, methods and procedures. They apply discretion and judgement to accommodate and transfer their skills and knowledge to different job demands and take responsibility to their work within organisational parameters.In some states and territories there may be licensing conditions that relate to this qualification, and also other licensing conditions where the average person is required to work onsite. Depending on the authority, licensing or regulatory conditions may also apply to the usage of some units in this qualification. Licensing of glazing perform applies in Queensland, NSW and South Australia. Local regulations should be checked for details.
