Description
The program enables students to focus their coursework on interest areas in health education and health promotion in community, clinical, or worksite settings, as well as in health studies, thus preparing them for related industry jobs or graduate programs. Please note: some allied health graduate and professional programs will not accept courses if labs are delivered via online instruction. Please refer to specific prospective graduate programs for detailed prerequisite requirements In addition to completing all university, college and general degree requirements, students enrolled in the Health Education & Behavior program will have the opportunity to take a number of core courses, including Personal and Family Health, Community and Environmental Health, Health Education Professional Development and Internship in Health Education along with several specialization courses such as Womens Health Issues, Trends in International Health and Minority Health Issues.

Requirements
The general requirements below apply to undergraduate admission and readmission to any college or division of the university.
Please understand that admission to the university is selective. Only minimum requirements for admission are provided; satisfaction of these minimums does not guarantee admission:
- Online application for admission received by the Office of Admissions by the deadline.
- A non-refundable application fee of $30 for each term of application.
- A satisfactory academic record. Applicants must furnish a complete chronological record of educational institutions attended. Official transcripts must be submitted according to instructions on the application. Failure to declare attendance at another institution could invalidate an offer of admission and any credits or degrees earned.
- Satisfactory scores on achievement or aptitude tests.
- A satisfactory conduct record.
- The application must identify a preferred term of enrollment (summer B, fall, spring). The application may be considered for and admission may be offered to terms other than the preferred term specified on the application. Applicants who wish to change their term of entry should contact the Office of Admissions immediately.
- Admission to on-campus degree programs must be validated by taking one or more on-campus courses in the specific semester for which the student is accepted. Correspondence and/or Web courses do not fulfill this requirement, and this rule does not apply to Web-based degree programs.

Funding
Online students at the University of Florida are eligible for consideration for a wide range of federal, state and institutional aid as administered by the Office for Student Financial Affairs (SFA), which also administers a limited number of privately funded scholarships. These include:
- Grants. Considered gift aid — no repayment required — and awarded to students showing the greatest financial need.
- Scholarships. Considered gift aid, as they do not have to be repaid and do not require recipients to perform services.
- Student Employment. Considered self-help aid, as students are offered aid in exchange for a service. The Student Employment Office assists enrolled students seeking part-time employment through various job programs.
- Loans. Considered self-help aid as loans are a form of aid that must be repaid. UF primarily offers student loans through the Federal Direct Loan Program, but there are a number of other loan programs available at UF.
- Non-SFA Administered Aid. Numerous aid programs are administered by entities outside of SFA including State of Florida aid programs, SFA Resource Center scholarships, academic scholarships and endowed scholarships.
