Health Policy

This course provides students with the information and expertise to comprehend, interpretinfluence and shape health policy. It gives an comprehension of how in which the healthcare system functions as well as the challenges it confronts. This class provides a deeper comprehension of the current dilemmas forming health plan and also an opportunity for specialisation in four key areas: economics; law; communication and learning; and health and literary. The class also offers a foundation in statistics, epidemiology and Indigenous studies. The class provides a career pathway for caregivers, government employees, advisers and other professionals who wish to engage in a career in health policy or reach their desired role and wish to improve their professional knowledge and experience. Career options include positions in Commonwealth and state departments of health, community and consumer-based advocacy groups, government and non-profit businesses, local gym services, and non-government service providers.

• Applicants should have completed an UTS approved bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or filed additional evidence of general and professional qualifications that shows potential to pursue graduate studies. The English proficiency requirement for international students or regional applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
