This class develops expertise in the area of health promotion with an additional focus on wellbeing and health. The areas of study will include health promotion skills such as planning, evaluation and techniques as well as workplace occupational hygiene, legal topics and danger recognition. Graduates will establish mathematical skills which may qualify them to do the job in the discipline of health promotion particularly within an office setting. It emphasises prevention of disorder and the importance of creating healthy surroundings and is particularly important for jobs in government, community and workplace surroundings, where the attention is on implementing systems which promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Candidates are eligible for Registration with the Australian Health Promotion Association (Health Promotion) and the Safety Institute of Australia (Safety and Health ) and the Public Health Association of Australia.
