The program prepares students to meet the demands of an ever changing and broadening health care industry, and a clientele that expects their health care practitioners to be CAM-savvy. The curriculum consists of 15-credits of MSHS core coursework, and 12 credits of specialization coursework, including three required courses and one elective, all focusing on topics relevant to professionals working in the integrative health and wellness field. The program culminates in a 3-credit faculty-guided, self-directed graduate project designed to address a particular complementary or integrative health sciences issue or problem that is of interest.

The Master of Science in Health Sciences program is especially appropriate for healthcare professionals who wish to expand their skill sets in the areas of aging, health professions education, disease management with CMRI, clinical laboratory sciences, or integrative health and wellness. For those who wish to increase their expertise in the area of health care research, there is an individually tailored track. The program provides an excellent foundation for those interested in doctoral education.

The program consists of an inter-professional core of courses which includes Data Analysis and Interpretation, Research Methods, Evidence Based Literature Review, and Health Services Issues and Trends or Health Care Policy. In addition to specialization courses for the featured areas/tracks, the program allows student to select courses from a list of electives including but not limited to: health care ethics, health care law, management and leadership, strategic planning and quality management. The courses are offered online in either 8 - week or 15 - week blocks. The program culminates in a capstone project, which if approved, may be conducted at your institution or company.
