Health Sciences

This program provides students with the abilities and knowledge to successfully conduct applied research in health or community services settings (thesis stream) and also to produce, execute and evaluate health-related programs and solutions. It provides opportunities to learn more of many different specialities in the health field, to strengthen analytical abilities and to consider furthering knowledge through research. It aims to satisfy the requirements of health professionals who've assumed or are most likely to assume high level responsibility for coordination and management of these programs and solutions. Students are able to select from the following types: health management, health investigation and research, health information administration, health policy, health promotion, gerontology, health promoting palliative care, rehabilitation counselling, and spiritual care.

The Health Administration Flow Inside the Master of Health Sciences is accredited by the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM). The Rehabilitation Counselling flow inside the Master of Health Sciences is accredited by the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC). Based on subject Option, graduates of the Master of Health Sciences may apply for membership with the ACHSM, ASORC, or even the Australian Health Promotion Association. Membership may be susceptible to additional or ongoing conditions beyond completion of the amount. Please contact the relevant professional body to get details.

• The minimum entrance requirement is successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent)
• Ahead learning developed by relevant work experience or professional accreditation, where it's deemed to be at least equivalent to that obtained through a Bachelor level, may be considered
• In creating an offer to an applicant, the University can give consideration to a variety of factors to ascertain whether an applicant has demonstrated the capacity to work at a Masters level, for example academic record, English proficiency, and/or employment experience
• Applicants without an undergraduate degree or professional experience may be able to get into some majors from the MHSc through standardised enrolment arrangements
