To be admitted to the Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHS) degree, students must be accepted by a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) or Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education (CoARTE) accredited program in Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Respiratory Therapy or Radiography or have completed such an accredited program.Four-year program in Saint John and Winnipeg. Radiation therapists are essential members of a cancer patientпПХs medical team. About 60 per cent of cancer patients will receive radiation treatment either in the form of radical treatment to reduce or eradicate tumours or, in advanced cases, as palliative treatment to relieve a patientпПХs pain and improve quality of life. Radiation therapists provide highly specialized technological skills with compassionate patient care. The Radiation Therapy program is offered in conjunction with the Saint John School of Radiation Therapy.
