Health Services Management

This is a thorough course in health services management and aims to expand students' knowledge and prospective livelihood opportunities. The course develops students' knowledge and techniques, leading to an enhanced capacity to control health services at a wide variety of medical settings. Participants of the course are vulnerable to industry and academic leaders who share their experience and knowledge to ease insight into the contemporary healthcare management ecosystem. This course is intended to prepare new, aspiring and mid healthcare planners and managers to assume a leadership role at the strategic and operational direction of a broad array of health facilities and services. The material aims to develop skills in managing people, systems, resources, and procedures within health services to fulfill the changing needs of communities, clinicians, organisations and governments. Career options include positions as managers and/or planners in health jurisdictions, hospitals, primary and community care, aged care services, as well as other healthcare centers at the public, private, non-profit, government, and also healthcare industries.

Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM).

UTS recognised bachelor degree, or equivalent or higher qualification, or filed additional evidence of general and professional credentials that shows potential to pursue graduate studies. This signs may consist of extensive relevant work experience in a healthcare or human services field. Applicants must have 1 year's fulltime equivalent expertise in a healthcare or human services organisation. Applicants who do not have an undergraduate degree but with extensive relevant work experience in a healthcare or human services field and may demonstrate the capability to undertake tertiary study may also be considered eligible.
