Taught courses The MSc in HPC has a strong practical focus and our taught courses include lectures supported by practical tutorials. The seven compulsory courses give a broad-based coverage of the fundamentals of HPC and parallel computing, while the optional courses focus on specialist areas relevant to computational science. Minimum entry requirements To apply for the MSc in HPC, you will normally require a UK 2:1 or its international equivalent in computer science, physics, informatics, mathematics, engineering or chemistry and experience in computer programming (see below). The School of Physics & Astronomy offers up to two Masters scholarships in High Performance Computing for each academic session. Each scholarship covers Tuition Fees and is tenable for one academic year.
