Requirements for the Horn Programme

In order to be accepted into the Horn Programme, students must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the following areas:

• A minimum of two years of private instruction on the horn
• Proficiency in sight-reading and music theory
• Proficiency in aural skills and ear training
• Proficiency in improvisation and composition
• Proficiency in performance techniques

We also require that all students audition for the programme. Auditions are held twice a year and are open to all interested applicants. We look forward to hearing your musical talents!
