Your Master's by research level takes one to deepen your understanding of one's subject area and develop advanced skills in the conduct of independent and sustained research.As a Master's by research scientist, you are going to undertake a supervised research study which culminates in the submission of a thesis for examination. Upon completion of your candidature you must demonstrate throughout your thesis that you have acquired an advanced and integrated comprehension of a more intricate body of knowledge from one or more disciplines. A Master's by research level may also function as an entry to your PhD. A Master's by research candidate will be eligible to apply for entry into a PhD if they meet the respective entry demands of the particular level and also have completed their level.

The minimum academic requirement for entry to a Master of Arts is an three-year Bachelor degree in a related field performed within the previous 10 years using a weighted average mark of 65 or above in the final year of the program.
