This qualification reflects the use of workers in the community or residential setting that follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who might require support because of ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement with regard to individual support in addition to accepting responsibility for own outputs.Workers have a range of factual, theoretical and technical understanding, in addition to some theoretical knowledge about their concepts and techniques required to supply person-centred support.To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of are detailed in the Assessment Prerequisites of these units of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements affect this qualification at the time of book.
