This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting that follow an individualised plan to supply person-centred support to individuals who might require support because of ageing, disability another reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support in addition to taking responsibility for own outputs.Workers possess a selection of factual, theoretical and technical understanding, in addition to some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and techniques required to give person-centred support.To achieve this qualification, the candidate should have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of their units of competency.No law, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to the qualification at the time of book.
