This program is geared toward health professionals that want to grow their capacity across the administration of infectious disease control plans and those that would like to change to a career in infectious disease epidemiology. This system offers a totally web-based study program enabling participants to effectively incorporate their learning in their daily professional life without the high priced disturbance that face to face coursework entails. Individual courses within the Program have been developed in order to provide a practice-based and authentic approach for the area of analysis.
- An undergraduate degree in an area relevant to public health or health management and 2 years fulltime volunteer or professional experience. This may also have equivalent professional experience acquired as a member of a degree of more years duration (e.g. MBBS, MD)
- OR A undergraduate degree and an honours or postgraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or medical administration. Examples include, but are not restricted to, medical, nursing, and allied health, medical sciences, and biomedical sciences, dentistry, social work, sociology, behavioral and social sciences, social work, psychology, marketing, individual services, emergency services, environmental health, health care science, health management, organization, management, technology, science, law, mathematics and statistics, economics, policy studies and development studies. Applications will be assessed in accordance with the UNSW Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure.
