The Master's programme in Information Sciences combines technology and organizational studies on the one hand, and technology and culture on the other. It features contemporary subjects that keep apace of the rapid developments within this sector. The programme focuses on Web applications and Internet research of the future e-society, like e-business, e-culture, e-entertainment, e-communities. Information Sciences is a comprehensive academic programme with direct practical relevance and a strong international flavour. Most of our students do their graduation project in-company. Recent examples include developing business models for digital television, home-automation, and control systems for electricity supply in Europe. Graduates work in a wide range of industries and public institutions, both inside and outside the ICT sector. They take on positions as consultants, analysts, designers, project coordinators, ICT programme managers and researchers. Typically, graduates get jobs in which they play a liaison role between ICT and non-ICT people: they speak both 'languages'. Of course, the programme also prepares you for further education as a scientific researcher.
