Learn how to create code and use game development engines and application programming interfaces (APIs) to make computer or video games at a studio environment which visually mirrors the most recent games industry training. The only application of its kind in Australia, you are going to focus on interactive media projects, developing video games and graphics applications together using teams of digital artists, artists and manufacturers at a multi disciplinary environment that imitates the games development industry. You'll learn to write and read video (using both game development engines and lower level programming libraries) and make videogames and applications, incorporating digital graphics, animation, video and sound. Your studies are put in the wider context of computer engineering and software technology, this usually means you will be capable of work in the games industry, in addition to that the IT industry more broadly speaking. Work placements with games organizations are also encouraged to give you real industry experience.
- Present Year 12 requirements units 3 and 4-a study score of 25 in one of Mathematical Methods (almost any ) or Specialist Mathematics
- And a study score of 25 in any English (except EAL) or at least 30 in English (EAL).
