The Master's programme in International and European Law is aimed at students who are planning a career in international law or European law.
The programme consists of two components, international law and European law, which share a number of mandatory courses. There are also a number of optional courses. This structure allows for specialisation in either of the components, while taking into account their common foundation. The programme seeks to provide students with an understanding of the theory and practice of international and European law. The teaching methods and evaluations focus on developing writing, analytical and communication skills, as well as knowledge of Black Letter Law. To this end, a greater emphasis is placed on written and oral assignments than on traditional exams. The teaching staff includes highly qualified international and European lawyers. Students are exposed to a wide range of international institutions and assisted in pursuing internships and other career opportunities during and after completion of the programme. The LLM programme in International and European Law offers four tracks: European Union Law European Competition Law and Regulation International Trade and Investment Law Public International Law
