This programme offers an in-depth study of financial systems in theory and practice. The course considers the role of the financial system in an economy, how monetary policy is implemented and the use of different financial instruments such as bonds, stocks and derivatives, among many other topics.

Graduates will be well equipped to pursue a career in the finance sector as analysts, consultants or traders, be part of the international banking system, or work in public sector agencies such as central banks and ministries of finance.

If you wish to enter or are already in professions which require the background, knowledge and skills needed to work in an international financial environment, you will find this a suitable programme.

On this programme, students will take four core courses, two optional courses and complete a substantial independent piece of work, normally in the form of a dissertation.
