How is business affected by globalization? How can companies operate in multiple countries at once, or cope with different cultural, political and economic circumstances? This programme will show you.

The Master's degree programme in International Business and Management trains you to manage multinational enterprises. The programme provides you with the basic knowledge needed for a successful career in international business.

Specific attention is paid to comparative analyses of companies, countries and institutions. You will learn to analyse markets in different countries and understand various institutional environments. You will learn to develop policy proposals as well.

To complete your study you will write a Master's Thesis, which may be combined with an internship at an organization.

In addition, it is possible to do a Double Degree in Advanced International Business Management and Marketing, which is offered by the University of Groningen and the University of Newcastle.

Job perspectives
After graduation you can work in inter-, multi- or transnational companies. You will be well prepared for all kinds of management jobs, such as product manager, treasury manager, human resource manager, export manager and international sales manager. You can also find work as an international marketer or management development officer. In addition, you can apply for a job at a non-profit organization or continue your business career as a researcher.

* 1 year The compulsory core courses of IB&M are International Business Strategy and Foreign Investment & Trade. Furthermore you are trained in doing research, which you will use writing your Master Thesis. And 25 of 60 ECTS are reserved for elective courses, so you can tune your programme to match your interests.
