Course Content
In the first year, you'll study the basics of events management, gaining an understanding of the different sectors which make up the industry and potential career pathways. By the second you'll be putting theory into practice - creating event concepts, pitching ideas to live clients, undertaking risk assessments and running your own events. Third year, you'll move from how to run events to considering the bigger picture - why we run events, the strategy, where you go to get funding and how to write bids and applications. In final year, well look at the global implications of events and wider role that they play in society.
In addition to the central subject of International Events Management, you will study a range of complementary business modules designed to provide you with a wider understanding of business and the society in which you'll operate as a global leader of tomorrow. You'll also have the option to study European language modules to further enhance your skills as a global graduate.
Other optional modules can be selected from a wide variety of subject areas including psychology, sociology, politics, history, communications, and other management or business related subjects, allowing you to excel as a well-rounded graduate.
