The International Trading System program at Saint Petersburg State University offers students a comprehensive education in the principles and practices that underpin global commerce. Designed for individuals interested in understanding how international markets operate, this programme provides a thorough grounding in economic theories, international trade policies, and the legal frameworks governing cross-border transactions. Students will explore key topics such as global trade negotiations, customs regulations, international logistics, trade finance, and the role of multinational corporations in shaping the global economy. The curriculum emphasizes practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge, preparing graduates for careers in international trade organizations, multinational companies, customs agencies, and consulting firms. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and internship opportunities, students will develop a nuanced understanding of the complexities of global trade relations and the strategic decision-making processes involved in international commerce. The programme also highlights contemporary issues such as trade disputes, regional trade agreements, digital trade, and sustainability in international trade. With faculty experienced in both academia and industry, students gain insights from experts actively involved in shaping global trade policies. Emphasis is placed on developing language skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to equip graduates with the tools necessary for success in the dynamic field of international trading systems. Graduates of this programme will be equipped to analyze international trade data, develop strategic trade policies, and navigate the regulatory environment of global markets. The programme’s interdisciplinary approach ensures that students not only learn about economics and law but also gain an understanding of political, cultural, and environmental factors influencing international trade. Over the course of the programme, students are encouraged to participate in international conferences, exchange programmes, and practical projects to enhance their global perspective and professional network. Upon graduation, students will be well-prepared to contribute to the development of international trade policies, optimize supply chain operations, and facilitate international business transactions, making them valuable assets to global organizations and domestic enterprises engaged in international markets.
Annually the students of the program participate in the internship organized at international
