The MEng in Internetworking is a two-year course-based program that covers a range of topics related to the industry, including current technology and its past and future evolution. This intensive degree program provides students with practical experience and the solid, theoretical background necessary to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of technology and the challenges that lie ahead.

Requirements

  • Students entering this program must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • An undergraduate grade point average equivalent to a CGPA of at least 3.0 is normally required. 
  • Degree granted by university of recognized standing
  • Being computer literate (use of word processing, spreadsheets, web based products)
  • Having completed a course in one of Digital Logic or Circuits or Boolean Algebra
  • Having studied Fourier Analysis
  • Having successfully completed an introductory course in C++ or having demonstrable working experience with C++
  • Students for whom English is not their first language and who did not complete their previous degree at an English-speaking university will need to submit proof of English language proficiency.Internet-based TOEFL 92, Written TOEFL 580. IELTS 7.
  • Prospective students must provide evidence of having satisfactorily completed, within four years prior to their intended date of entry into our program, the undergraduate-level course ENGM: 2032 Applied Probability and Statistics or its equivalent (for example, Stat 301 offered by distance by the University of Idaho). The first morning of INWK 6211 (Prob and Stats) will be dedicated to an initial test on the prerequisite material.
  • Experience in the Internetworking industry is a definite asset for all applicants. Entry into the program is competitive and we expect to restrict class sizes.
  • Pay $100 application fee
  • An official academic transcript for each post-secondary institution attended, sent directly from the host university in a sealed envelope (a notarized translation is also required for each non-English transcriptin addition to an original transcript sent directly from the host university in a sealed envelope). Notarized copies will not be accepted.
  • Two academic reference letters, either through the electronic reference system in the online application or by paper
  • If you plan to self-fund your studies, please include an original teller stamped or equivalent bank statement showing that you have sufficient funds for your full program fees plus $1200 per month for the full term of your studies.
