The ANU Juris Doctor (JD) is a distinctive program designed for students of non-law disciplines and provides the eligibility needed for entry as a lawyer in Australia and several other authorities. Students study a variety of compulsory courses in foundational areas of law such as international law, administrative law, corporations lawenforcement, criminal law, contracts, evidence and lawsuit. Students can select electives from a range of contemporary topics in law, including climate and environment lawenforcement, international trade lawenforcement, financial markets and takeovers, information technology law, international security law and human rights lawenforcement. Through the entire level students have been given many opportunities to get their own legal knowledge to activity and gain practical experience through a range of internships, clinical placements, student competitions and markets in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA.
Completing an ANU Juris Doctor, and the prerequisite practical legal training, qualifies one to synthesize law anywhere in Australia and also in some other jurisdictions.
A doctorate degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7 (any area ). If you have undertaken a lot more than one tertiary eligibility the GPA will be dependent on the maximum GPA of completed credentials.
