The ANU Juris Doctor (JD) is a distinctive program intended for graduates of non-law areas and provides the eligibility needed for entry as a lawyer in Australia and several other authorities. Students study a range of compulsory classes in foundational areas of law such as lawand administrative law, corporations law, criminal law, contracts, signs and litigation. Students can select electives from the range of contemporary themes in law, for example climate and environment lawenforcement, international trade lawenforcement, financial markets and Take Overs, it law, international security law and human rights lawenforcement. Through the entire level students are presented with many opportunities to place their legal awareness into action and gain practical experience through a range of internships, clinical placements, student competitions and exchanges in Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA.
Completing an ANU Juris Doctor, and the necessity practical legal practice, qualifies one to synthesize law anywhere in Australia and in various other jurisdictions.
A doctorate degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7 (any area ). If you have undertaken a lot more than one tertiary eligibility the GPA will be dependent on the highest GPA of completed credentials.
