Requirements for the Lute Programme

In order to be accepted into the lute programme, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years of experience playing the lute
• Be able to read and write music
• Have a basic understanding of music theory
• Be able to demonstrate proficiency in playing the lute

The Lute Programme offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of lute playing, from basic technique to advanced performance. Students will learn how to read music, understand the structure of the lute, and develop their own unique style of playing. Our experienced instructors will guide students through the process of mastering the instrument, and help them to develop their own individual sound.

In addition to learning the fundamentals of lute playing, students will also gain an appreciation for the history and culture of the instrument. Through our courses, students will explore the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, as well as the works of modern lute composers.
