The Languages and Business Administration German-Chinese Double Degree program offered by the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau provides students with a unique opportunity to acquire comprehensive language skills and solid business management knowledge in a multicultural context. Chinese in Media (6 ECTS), Intercultural Mediation (6 ECTS), Introduction to Translation (6 ECTS), Globalisation (6 ECTS), Product and Employer Branding (6 ECTS)

Second semester at Tianjin
Business Chinese I (6 ECTS), Economic Development of China (6 ECTS), International Business (6 ECTS), Business Translation (6ECTS), Translation in a Business Context (6 ECTS)
Third semester at Tianjin
Business Chinese II (6 ECTS), Master's thesis (24 ECTS)

(Full-time, the second and third semesters are spent at Tianjin Foreign Studies University)

Written and oral examinations, presentations, portfolios
Final grade will be based on the accumulation of grades received during the study programme and the final thesis (examinations 73.3%, thesis 26.7%)

Graduates possess the knowledge to work successfully as intercultural experts in a German-Chinese corporate environment. As graduates, they will be able to work in international management positions in communication departments of transnational companies and organisations. They will be especially qualified for positions involving communication and interaction between German and Chinese speakers, international project management, and mediation and conflict management.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available through the Chemnitz-Zwickau Student Union or on the private market. Rent for a single room in a student residence is approx. 210 EUR. As soon as you are admitted to the university, you will be able to register for a dormitory spot.
