The major objective of studies is acquiring additional theoretical knowledge as well as the practical expertise in application of the acquired knowledge in advanced topics in the area of widely understood mechanics and machine construction and operation. On completion of studies a graduate will: have a well founded knowledge of principles of mechanics, design and manufacturing with the aid of modern computational tools; be prepared to execute works aiding the machine design and selection of construction materials, and carry out supervision of their operation; be fluent in utilising modern engineering computer software and harnessing modern technologies; be able to undertake doctoral studies; be able to lead teams and companies, have abilities to utilise acquired knowledge at work and daily life; have the ability to leads teams of contracted out people, establishing small companies and their management as well as utilisation of legislation to run the small and medium enterprises.
The programme is run in cooperation with Fachhoch-schule Lübeck and Linnaeus University, Växjö, Sweden. Student must spend one semester at partner university.
