Entry requires a four degree (Honours) degree in Mining Engineering or a cognate field from a recognised institution, or satisfying the requirements of the UNSW Graduate degree in Mining Engineering (MINE5040FS and out of 2015: MINE5335) having minimum WAM of 65 percent and no course neglects. The UNSW School of Mining Engineering defines a cognate field as Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
