Course Content
Students wishing to major in modern languages should enroll in the Bachelor of Arts degree. Majors in French, German and Spanish follow a curriculum designed for their respective language and meet the general requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Students majoring in a language must either receive a grade of C or higher in all courses counted toward the major or have a GPA of at least 2.5 in all courses counted toward the major. Literature courses in translation will not apply toward the major.Bachelors degree:

- Bachelors degree with distinction
Minor
Students wishing to minor in modern languages may do so in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian or Spanish. Literature courses in translation may not be applied toward the minor.
