Molecular bio technology will predominate technology and science from the 21stcentury. Molecular biotechnologists provides methods to a number of the very challenging and pressing issues facing humankind involving control and prevention of human, plant and animal diseases, alteration of ecological degradation and feeding the entire world's populace. 'DNA chips' can detect expression of many tens of thousands of genes allowing rapid identification of many diseases in a single test. Individuals may have access to their DNA order and thus predict their propensity to produce cancer, obesity, Alzheimer's, diabetes, heart failure and several other human diseases. Plants and animals have been genetically modified to improve the world's food source. Stem cells and tissue civilization promise novel methods for organ replacement and injury repair. Graduates look forward to a wide array of challenging careers working alongside other scientists, health professionals and health-care professionals, engineers, software developers, attorneys, business professionals and professionals. Graduates are sought by government, private and academic research centres, and agricultural, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries. Participants with commercial ideas and entrepreneurial skills can develop their own companies and businesses.
