The course of study offers scientific engineering training that is especially practice and project oriented. For four semesters everything revolves around the development of new media products in the areas of social media, gaming, interaction, and augmented & mixed reality. The students develop multimedia master projects in cooperation with designers from the partner course of studies MultiMediaArt. Through interdisciplinary teamwork, marketable products emerge which are convincing in terms of concept, technology and design.

Advanced Game Engineering

Computer games are an integral part of the media culture today and have advanced to a cultural technology of the information age. Interactive, playful formats and simulations offer extensive potential for the use in education, health, communication and economy.

Focusing on Game Engineering serves the conceptual design and development of game and entertainment formats, as well as interactive realms of experience for use in jobs and daily life.

This includes entertainment and edutainment applications, serious games, computer games, educational games etc.

Advanced Web Engineering

To solve problems together, to interact and communicate efficiently are the challenges of a globally interconnected society. New intelligent tools enhance the individual productivity and support us in our jobs and daily life.

The concept design and development of new applications for communication, collaboration and networking form the core of concentrating on Web Engineering.

This area includes social media applications (web 2.x, wikis, blogs, audio/ photo/ video sharing, live casting, etc.), eBusiness, eLearning and eGovernment applications, as well as methods for collective intelligence, user generated content, crowd sourcing, etc.
