Description

It will foster musical, creative and analytical skills that will enable you to push the boundaries of audio creation through an understanding of the critical context of your work. This will be supported through built in industry visits and master-classes in which you will get the opportunity to work on professional projects whilst getting feedback from industry professionals and staff members who conduct research in relevant areas.

You will also gain knowledge of the underlying technology that supports the production process at such a level that it enables you to use the technology with a deeper level of understanding and thus also push the boundaries creativity.

This course also provides a professional development strand that will enable you to present yourself to industry, to furnish you with strategies to monetise your creative output and to explore portfolio building and group work.

This course provides a natural continuation for students studying A Level or BTEC level three qualifications in Music Technology. You may not play a traditional instrument but have been encouraged to explore your musicality and create original material through creative use of technology. These are the skills that will help you find employment within what is a challenging sector.
