Nanotechnology and Applied Sciences

As an RMIT Nanotechnology/Applied Sciences student you are going to acquire the skills and knowledge to work at the rapidly growing area of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is the engineering and science of material less than a micrometre. It takes a wide knowledge of science as well as the capability to employ this expertise to produce innovative procedures or devices. This dual degree course is multidisciplinary, combining nanotechnology with chemistry or physics. It covers physical, chemical, biological and technology nanoscience. There's a strong emphasis on using cuttingedge technology and instruments together with an emphasis on lab and research work-often in cooperation with outside organisations. As a graduate, you are going to explore and make substances at the nanoscale-with enhanced properties such as higher strength, lighter fabrics, and greater chemical reactivity-in order to manufacture more effective devices, medicines and materials.

• Present Year 12 prerequisites units 3 and 4-a analysis score of 20 in one of Chemistry or Physics and in one of Mathematical Methods (some other ) or Specialist Mathematics
• And also a study score of 25 in virtually any English (except EAL) or at least 30 in English (EAL).
